I think modifying the pattern to be a wee bit more fitted will turn out great - looking forward to seeing it! Gudrun Johnston's such a great designer - if you're after great hats, I love all of her hat designs too. The other great hat I have seen for this winter is Ysolda's snapdragon tam - it's very cute!
