Alright, I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that when I first saw this sweater by Eunny Jang, my eyes might have bugged out a bit, my heart rate quickened, I may even have stopped breathing for a minute or two. I tried to stay calm but I was completely ready to toss away all my other WIPs just to have that pattern. I spent many an idle moment perusing the Brown Sheep Cotton Fine colors to pick out the perfect shade for when the pattern was finally released. I think that design made me an official Eunny fan and because of it, hers was the first blog I ever subscribed to. And so I read each post with just a little anticipation, hoping the pattern might just show up that day. And when it didn’t, I just said to myself, hey, maybe next week. Or hey, next month?
No such luck.
So about a month ago, I was playing around with knitting fonts in Excel (you do that too, right??) and thought to myself, hmmm…..I wonder…..

And so I’m fudging. And playing. And armed with a crochet hook. And fully ready to frog at a moment’s notice (maybe).
The real fun will come when I try to calculate those set-in sleeves. Not to worry — I found my old solar calculator today.

I am a 20-something knitter, skier, baker, runner, homebrewer, climber and dog lover enjoying a surprisingly sunny first winter in Seattle.

I was in love with that sweater of Eunny’s too. I can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
Wow! I am seriously impressed! I’ve also been waiting – 2.5 years, I guess! – for that sweater pattern. I think Eunny’s had other fish to fry. It is a gorgeous sweater and you got off to a promising start!
